Governor Romney Travels to Colorado (After action report)
Eye Witness | February 1, 2008 | Jan in Colorado

Posted on 02/01/2008 5:42:46 PM PST by jan in Colorado

Mitt Romney came to Colorado today and talked to a very large and enthusiastic crowd. The rally was held at a car dealership in Denver with an expectation of 150 people. It turns out there were close to 2,000 people there and 2/3 of the crowd were left standing outside trying to push their way in.

Sadly, I was not able to get inside and hear what Mr. Romney had to say, but those of us outside, though disappointed, had a great time talking about the unacceptability of McCain and discussing who Romney might pick for VP if he gets the nominee.

About 30 minutes after talking to the people inside the dealership, Mr. Romney came outside and talked to the press and others in the crowd.

I talked to as many different people as I could, and told all of them to check out Free Republic. Most of the people that I talked to, had also been Hunter or Thompson supporters, but they all are now on board supporting Mitt Romney.

It was great to see the overflowing and spirited crowd at the rally today, and we look forward to Romney's return to Colorado as the Republican nominee for President of the United States!

Romney is coming here to St. Louis tomorrow, but I haven’t been able to find out yet where and when. I want to go hear him speak.

At this moment all they’ve got for tomorrow is Gov. Romney in Minnesota, 5:00-8:30 p.m. That means he would be coming to Missouri earlier in the day, but they don’t have it posted yet.

“I talked to as many different people as I could, and told all of them to check out Free Republic.”

jan - I looked for you! I heard someone say “Free Republic” and looked in that direction, but couldn’t see you!

We got to stand behind some man who was about 7 feet tall, but I got a glimpse of Romney through the doors.

We got to see the press conference (were really close.) My daughter was the one yelling “Ned Romney” with great enthusiasm.

Sorry we didn’t get to connect.

PS Campaign Carl is better looking on tv!

The polls are showing that Mitt doesn’t have much of a chance. But, as we all know, polls have been wrong.

If enough Republicans voters can clear their brains by Tuesday, and realize that this is their last shot to stop McCain (and his immigration “adviser” Juan Hernandez, a surprise may be in store for the MSM.

Never got inside. One of the campaign workers told me it was full 1-1/2 hours before the rally started. I walked back to my car with a nice man (a veteran) who was the last man who got into the showroom. He said Romney gave a great speech.

I perched my daughter on my chest over by the red truck and she had a great time waving at Romney. I told her he saw her and was too busy to wave back. She thought that was fun.

As when they showed that Obama would beat Hillary by ca. 10 points in New Hampshire!
