I understand it. The only caveat is that it presumes the Republicans left actually have a set of balls to make right choices.

Do you see any evidence of that??

If McCain is elected most Republicans in the House and Senate will roll over on command.
But if Hillary is elected they will fight tooth and nail against the exact same proposals.

If Bill Clinton tried to push the democrat’s “No Child Left Behind” travesty through congress the republicans would have screamed, hollered, dug their heels in and blocked it.
But when George Bush pushed for it they just meekly gave it a big rubber stamp.

Congressional Republicans perform a little better as the minority rather than the majority.
The batch we have had in there over the past years just doesn’t know how to lead and that is why the Democrats won back both houses in 2006.
(not that the dems are any better - they just get better press)
