I am glad it is the Academy handing out these awards and not the Film Actors Guild (FAG).

Mostly snow here in the High Sierra, although three weeks ago we received almost 5 inches of rain in 24 hours-the heaviest rainfall ever recorded here where the norm is 5 inches per year!

MORE WINNERS IN THE FREEPATHON'S "MEMORABLE MOVIE MOMENTS" CONTEST !

THE CECIL B. DEMILLE AWARD FOR ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS AND SCIENCES:

.....awarded to LADY JAG, VALERIE AND BD476 whose graphics, animations and special effects were the eye candy (Milk Duds and Old Crows) on every FReepathon thread. Their talent for humor and posting the right art at the right time was incredible. $10 will be donated in each of your names in recognition of your skill and highly-developed wit. Congratulations to all three of you!

THE DONALD O'CONNOR AWARD FOR ALL-AROUND SPIRIT AND VERVE:

.....awarded to FIDDLSTIX, who, despited being vowel deprived, was one of the most enthusiastic driving spirits on the many threads during this FReepathon. His unflagging enthusiasm, great graphics, informational notes on movie history and unparalleled achievment in bumping has earned a special $20 contribution to FR in his name. Thanks, Fiddle.....oops, Fiddl.

THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL AWARD FOR THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL:

....awarded to DO THE DHUE who had dood it again! In the FReepathon's last quarter, DHUE won for posting the BEST rhyme in the Mother FReep Political Nursery Rhymes Contest. He also won in the WORST Rhyme category.

DHUE took Third Place in this quarter's contest with his winning entry. Miss Louella (moi) has decided to award a prize to the contestant with THE MOST UNMEMORABLE MOVIE MOMENT.....and DHUE wins hands down.

His entry was the unforgettable quote "I promise I won't die", and an unforgettable scene, the singing of "I'm so ronery" both from the unforgettable movie......damn, I forget the name of the movie!

This unmemorable entry which can only be described as dhue dhue has earned DHUE a special $20 award. Added to the 10 bucks he earned for being in Third Place in this contest, gives him a total of $30 which will be sent to FReepathon Central.

Adding this $30 to the $50 he earned in the last contest, Dhue has now won $80 for FR with his bad and beautiful efforts in our two contests making him the highest earner of cash contributions in Freepathon contest history!. Love you, Mr. Dhue.....for your loyal participation.....and for being a good sport!

One more brief post to follow.....but first a word from our sponsor, Brylcreem, "A Little Dab'll Do Ya".

Back in a few mintes, my dear movie afficianados,......

Louella

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am indeed honored

BTW, The "e" was "lost" many moons ago back when many of the servers allowed a nickname (handle, screen name, whatever) of only nine characters max.

I am so embarrassed, but happy to have been able to help contribute the the FReepathon!!

Many thanks to our gracious host, Louella.

I would like to pass along a little reminder of the movie:

Well, I was going to post another youtube trailer of the Team Aermica, but I couldn't find anything clean enough to post.

Anyhow, I would like to thank the cast of puppets in Team America who helped me win the infamous award!

To All FReepathon Participants and Contest Participants from Leni/MinuteGal:

Final dollar tally for this contest is $250 (after Louella corrected the error in the first Awards post where the "$10 winners" should have read "$20 winners").

Louella is very tired after all this judgin', typin' and postin'......and I'll forgive her for she's an old dame with a big heart.

The contest last quarter raised $235 and together with the $250 from this contest makes a total of $485 contributed to our beloved forum by fun, involved freepers. Not bad.

Th-th-th-that's all folks. My personal thanks to everyone.

See you at the movies!

Leni/MinuteGal
