Well its four separate operas done over four consecutive nights.

"Das Rheingold", "Die Walküre", Siegfried", and "Götterdämmerung".

Think of the "Ring" Cycle as the original mini-series.

(As an aside, I saw the Met production almost twenty years ago. Not only was it well-cast and marvelously done with Levine's exquisite conducting plus out-of-this-world sets, but you don't really notice the length. The story is so engrossing and you get so wrapped up in all the plots, subplots, and machinizations of the characters that time flies by. For those of you that are "LOTR" fans, JRR Tolkien used the same source materials - Norse Eddas and Teutonic sagas - that Wagner used for his magnum opus.)
