President Clinton has been touting his wife's commitment to Africa on the campaign trail by telling interested voters that "Hillary was the first U.S. Senator to call Darfur genocide." He used that exact line with voters in Aiken, S.C., yesterday, and it has been pointed out more than once over the course of this campaign.
The usually shy Chelsea also touted her mother's record on Darfur, telling a group at Stanford University earlier this month that she was "really proud that my mom was the first Democratic senator to call it genocide in May of 2004 and put a lot of pressure on the Bush administration to recognize it as genocide."
Problem is, the statements simply aren't true.

Poor Chelsea, being forced to do the dirty lying work of her parents ... can't the authorities be called in for child abuse? I thought that Dems were all for "the CHILDREN" and all, guess I was wrong. /sigh

We aren’t allowed to criticize Chelsea. She’s just the child of an ex-president. We need to stay focused on the issues and are not permitted to question the questionable statements of the Clintons who’ll pander to audiences at the drop of a hat and revise the past to win points.

Did Bill also note his enabling of the Darfur situation in the first place? Plenty of genocide went down on his watch without even a token cruise missile launch.
"Mom" is a democrat senator. She's as far from democratic as it is possible to be.

Here's a young woman who has traveled all over the world, tried to portray a mature image hanging out with with designers and the European elite, and then while in the car with young Ferrera, Chelsea magically turns into a valley girl with a valley girl voice,

Chelsea went to Stanford with a real major—chemistry with an interest in medicine, according to Wikipedia. Do you think Mom and Dad suggested that to make them look good—”Oh, don’t worry, honey, you can drop it when it gets hard and our friends will make sure you make good job and salary for doing something.” I guess she couldn’t handle it, but she managed to turn a history degree and an international relations Masters from Oxford into a six-figure salary at an international management consulting firm.
Did she actually DO anything at McKinsey & Company or that big-Clinton-donor-hedge fund?
