Regardless of how low budget Foxâs operations may be, how much does it cost to spend a few seconds checking out a story before reporting it as fact? Isnât that, after all, their job? I am constantly amazed at the shoddy state of journalism these days. Journalists are supposedly âprofessionalsâ in their field. Yet, time after time they violate rules that are taught in a Journalism 101 class.

I don’t know if those rules are taught in “broadcast journalism” which has always, to me, been an oxymoron. The emphasis is on appearance, taste in dress, voice, “personality,” and the ability to read a script in front of a camera.
