It is interesting, isn’t it? Mormons and Catholics get along just fine. Seems the people picking the fights aren’t us.

I don't think it is just Catholics and Mormons who get along fine. I think it is any conservatives who can keep their eye on the ball. Huckabee only won 45% of the Evangelical vote in Iowa and I'd venture to say the largest share of those 45% were taken in by his charm and conservative rhetoric, not his religious baiting. His share of the evangelical vote keeps falling as more and more people examine his record.

Conservative Jews are another group which gets along fine with the conservative mainstream as it uncomfortable when various Christian brands start branding others at cults because they have been such a persecuted minority they don't like seeing it done to others.

Even the Moonies, branded as a cult by many, take responsible conservative political positions. We don't have to attend their church, but we should certainly welcome them as soldiers in a common cause.
