Low poll numbers?

And who will run in his place? Jim Talent, perhaps?

He says it’s because he’s accomplished everything he ran to do.

If that’s the case, I’d like to know more about this man.

Don't you believe it! He was running against Jay Nixon and scrapping it up.

Either someone has something on him and threatening to big expose' (he did support embryonic stem cell "research") or he has been convinced to be the V.P. for one of the RINOs left standing.

I am reading that Kit Bond is not running for his senate seat maybe that is why.

Don’t believe it. 10 minutes of listening to Blunt give a speech is about all anyone can take.

EGGXACTLY MY SENTIMINTS, Conservababe!!

Gov. Blunt would be a terrific VP—tough as nails on the Invasion by Mexico, as law & order as they come...plus he’s from a Southern state...But, does this annoucement hurt his star power? I wonder...

He would be a big dud as a vice president. Listening to Matt for 30 seconds can drive a person to drink and I voted for him. He hasn’t been a good governor because he comes across as so arrogant.
He won’t even live in the governor’s mansion. Rather, he makes the trip from Springfield to Jeff City each day with his MHP escort.

This was a big surprise. Matt faced a tough reelection against uber-liberal Atty General Jay Nixon. Missouri is slowly becoming a purple to blue state. The bench strength here is not that good and the Dems have some decent candidates. Looks like a tough election year for us conservatives in the Show Me state

I hope Kit Bond isn’t packing it in. I’m not a Republican. I’m a conservative but conservative candidates are getting hard to find these days.
Nixon could make a good governor if it weren’t for one very large issue, abortion. He is without a doubt pro second amendment and he’s pretty good on several issues but abortion and social programs drag him down.
If he were to make it to the Supreme Court I think he might become more conservative since he wouldn’t have a voting block to please.
He’s been a good Attorney General at least.

That’s a well thought out statement. Do you have anything to back it up?

Have you heard the “It’s only wrong if I get caught” ads on radio from the MOGOP???

Dana Rohrbacher was just on Hannity & Colmes.

He’s from California, but he called it “Muhzooruh”. I’ve always said “Mizouree”. How do they pronounce it there?

I don't think its arrogance. He wanted to make a point that he was not just another Jeff City government bob wow.
Agree with your comment on listening to Matt. Gad, he could use a speech coach; slow down, modulate, trim 30 percent of any performance since he gets raspier.

A survey at the state fair in Sedalia a few years back indicated Missouree was preferred by 70 + percent.
