Huckabee presents the best choice for Reagan supporters who don't care all that much about the Constitution. You forgot the rest of the headline.

I have watched this party change for a long time. Some changes have been better than others.

With frontrunners like Huckabee, Romney and McCain, I'd say the changes have been all bad.

Once in again in case you weren’t listening - Mike Huckabee could win the GOP nomination and I would STILL refuse to vote for him. On principal, on the issues.

He has yet to demonstrate an understanding of tax/economic policy based on the existing system. His answer is - fire the IRS - well it’s not that simple so just answer the question. Since the federal government doesn’t have as many ‘fees’ to hide behind as a state does, how will Mikey actually manage the budget? If it’s as he did in AR, no thank you, go back to Hope.

He stated as Governor that programs to enforce immigration laws were ‘un-christian’ - he has since changed his position to try to have us think he is a border hawk. He has also made the (true) statement that the laws of God cannot change. So how then sire can something be un-christian and then acceptable? using religion to sway the emotions of the uninformed electorate is detestable.

Please let me know when he makes a statement and can have a two way discussion that does not involve his pre-scripted sound bies on national defense and international dimplomacy. Better yet, tell me when he can do this and make sense, sound like a conservative, and emonstrate an understanding of the world we live in. I won’t be holding my breath.

And let me know when he demonstrates an understanding of constitutional law sufficient to actually discuss what can be done about RTL. His understanding of the Roe decision in terms of then law seems to me to be deeply flawed. If he cannot discuss the matter in the context of reality then he is not the man to lead on the issue.

I will write in Mickey Mouse before casting a vote for Mike Huckabee.

There’s no point in reading more than the headline. U.S. Rep. John Linder, R-GA, is obviously an idiot. If if comes down to the Huckster and anyone what would be the point in voting for either? Trying to ring the Reagan mantle around huck is a desperate reach. If this is what it means to be a Republican, then it’s well past time for a new party for all of us former Reagan voters.

Lies, lies lies and more lies. Mike Huckabee isn’t fit to polish Ronald REagan’s shoes. He’s a Bill Clinton clone. Go peddle your wares to the illiterati of the Left.

You never did "look into" this and are posting the SOS, so I will, too. Are you on the payroll or something?

Pro-LIFE -- Nothing the President can do about this.

- Pro-1st Amendment -- Duh

- Pro-2nd Amendment -- Duh

- Pro-10th Amendment -- Yeah, like his plan to impose a federal smoking ban?

- Pro-Sovereignty, Anti-Globalist -- How's that? His literature says he believes globalism "done right" can be a blessing for our society.

- Pro-Israel (no to land giveaways) -- This is fine

- Pro-Marriage -- Nothing the President can do about this

- Pro-Overwhelming Defense -- Duh, but what does he know?

- Pro-Border Security & Immigration Enforcement -- This is a spectacularly misleading line item. He is a bleeding heart on immigration who wants to give scholarships and tuition breaks to the spawn of illegals. Supported touchback amnesty. He wriggles.

- Small Government Fiscal Conservative -- But he raised taxes.

- Pro-American Business -- But he raised taxes.

- Pro-Opportunity -- But he raised taxes.

- Pro-Wage Earner -- But he raised taxes.

- Pro-Tax Reform -- Shrug. Not holding my breath.

- Pro-Personal Investment -- What does this mean?

- Pro-Individual Healthcare Empowerment -- Well, okay.

- Pro-Private/Home Education -- Apparently not. First he signed a bill helping homeschoolers, then signed a law further restricting them.
