"Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton. If you've not already read it, try "Everlasting Man". It's available for free online through the Gutenberg project if you're too cheap to buy hardcopy.

Good choice. That book bears re-reading almost every year. Of his novels, I like Manalive best, with The Man Who Was Thursday and The Ball and the Cross close behind.
