Jim Stockdale said that Perot was instrumental in getting many POWs out of Nam and he would always be in his debt. I think that is why Jim ran as his running matenot something that he aspired to, but felt indebted to do.Every single student in America should have to read Admiral Stockdale's story. That man had a set of cajones on him, and SNL can get bent for making fun of him.

Mr. Perot told Newsweek that at one point he took care of Mr. McCain's family after Mr. McCain's former wife was in a serious car accident. "After he came home, he walked with a limp, she [Carol McCain] walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona [Cindy McCain, his current wife], and the rest is history," Mr. Perot said.
Never heard that Perot took care of McCain's first wife and family...

Uh, I don’t know if a Perot endorsement is a good thing for Romney.

"After he came home, he walked with a limp, she [Carol McCain] walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona [Cindy McCain, his current wife], and the rest is history," Mr. Perot said. He wasn't finished with his criticism.
He carries a grudge against Mr. McCain because he says Mr. McCain ignored evidence that live POWs were left behind in Vietnam. Mr. Perot told Newsweek that some were transferred to the Soviet Union for human experimentation, a charge Mr. Perot says he heard from a senior Vietnamese official in the 1980s.
So Perot has an intimate understanding of the McCain's failed marriage AND he has Vietnamese officials confiding in him exclusively, telling the truth to him about how they are liars. Get it? Perot is Dr.Phil/Oprah/and the CIA all rolled into one. Amazing.
Has Romney embraced this very precious endorsement yet?

Romney already is 100 times richer than other candidates, and has not been in Washington at all. Chances are he owes nobody any favors.

“Perot blasts McCain, endorses Romney (He says senator is ‘classic opportunist,’ hungry for glory)”
Takes one to know one.
Of course, it’s clear that Mr. Perot’s real problem with Sen. McCain is that he’s not the biggest opportunist in the race.
For the biggest opportunist, Mr. Perot saved his endorsement.

Fools dont make 4400 Million dollars. Perot has. Romney is no fool either. Just an anchor less political opportunist. These two are a match.

Perot might be right here, but that's no reason to have any kindly thoughts toward Perot.
Consider (if reports are correct) that OUT OF SHEER SPITE AND HATRED for GHWB, he ensured that (impeached and disbarred) Bill Clinton won the presidency twice, each time with less than 50% of the vote.
Mister Perot is not stupid, but he is apparently severely twisted enough to potty on his own country (IIRC) just to settle a score, and doesn't appear to have much of a conscience.

I will take a smart opportunist like Romney over a bumbler like McCain or one flip-flop every day Huckabee.

Rudy takes it on the chin for his marriage debacles, which is understandable.
However it seems McCain gets a free ride. Is it because it was so long ago that people forget?
Or does the MSM make a point to ignore the obvious because McCain is their boy?

The kiss of death for Romney - a gift from the Clinton’s via Perot.

Glad to see Ross Perot speak out on this. He may be a little nutty sometimes, but he’s right about the need to defeat McCain.

It might be if he gave Romney as much money as Soros has given cut and run.

Perot has been hiding (in the bushes behind his house with a loaded shotgun) because he has secret intelligence that George Herbert Walker Bush is going to “TP” his house.
To: Darkwolf377
Its shaping up to be (inside the beltway) McCain versus one of the (outside the beltway) candidates. An endorsement by the king of outside the beltway Perot can’t hurt Romney.
