"A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani." -- Steven Pokorny, age 28, at Giuliani during meeting in Miami, Sunday, Jan. 13

MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami.  Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour.  Photos available online.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.

When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!"  See news report. Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.

Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.

At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.

Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.

Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters.

Pro-lifers have scheduled confrontations with Rudy on every stop of his Florida Bus tour.

Video footage of the confrontations with Rudy is available upon request.

I can’t believe I’m even bothering to reply, but I guess I’m assuming that you’re sincere. That may or may not be true.

The pro-life movement has to use their intellect and not rely on emotion. The only way to limit abortion using "public monies" is going through the system. Normal people rebel against fanaticism, violence, and strong arm tactics. Anti-abortion people may have the best intentions, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Do you know how abortion started and why? Margaret Sanger, an early proponent who started Planned Parenthood, wanted to cull the Negro race. It began as a social engineering experiment to eliminate “the undesirables”.

Rudy was not forceably restrained from speaking, as you would have the citizenry treated.

RudyCoulter was not forceably restrained from speaking, as you would have the citizenry treated.

RudyDavid Horowitz was not forceably restrained from speaking, as you would have the citizenry treated.

RudyThe Minutemen were not forceably restrained from speaking, as you would have the citizenry treated.

Tell all of us reading this thread that you find all the above statements of actual situations acceptable.

You’re kidding me, right?

Don’t you realize how the world outside your bubble is going to view this, being led by the MSM?

They are going to see this as Rudy showing *strength.* I know it’s weird, but it’s true!

To them, he said “Screw you” to the pro-life “kooks” and walked away without giving them a chance to use his platform for their platform.

Moreover, his supporters probably got even madder at the protestors and vowed to work even harder to get Rudy elected.

So all in all, what did these protest accomplish in terms of advancing the cause of life? Nothing.

That is exactly how this is going to come off to those outside the FR world.

Rudy probably gained a few points over this, rather than it being some big victory for the pro-life movement.

are no different than a liberal or a fascist who would silence anyone with views or who have a manner of speaking with which you disagree.

And how would I do that? By shouting them down perhaps?

Following the thread of your discussion here, it is hard to believe you are a lawyer. You have twisted this every which way except as posted by the originator of the argument (KeithCu) who posted:
The first amendment gives you the right to stand in line and ask a question, but not to interrupt!!
Yes, or No: Do you agree with KeithCu's statement?

The manner in which YOU believe people "ought" to conduct themselves to get the message across "better" is how YOU should then conduct yourself. Other people think that using megaphones is perfectly acceptable. Still yet others may only feel they should hold up signs, write letters, fax memos, or leave pamphlets.

The Bill of Rights exists to afford each person the means to speak their minds, freely, according to their own conscience and not have someone else's values imposed on them as to how, when, where, or in what way they may speak, barring a criminal action, which is not, by definition, a protected right.

Not true.

And if I have inaccurately characterized your posts, then of course I apologize.

However, you have had several posts that have gone to the issue of it being someone’s “right” to protest, yet I have been addressing whether, in political terms, it was a good idea to protest the way these guys did.

That latter issue is what you seem to have failed to address, or at least I have missed it.

Again, I never said you were from DU. I said your reasoning was DU-like. And it is. You sound just like the Dixie Chicks wailing about how they had the “right” to say what they said and no one should say that it wasn’t a good idea to say what they said when and where they said it.

Why don't you ask JR, if you still have questions after reading the following:

Prohibited? Free Republic cut its eyeteeth FReeping liberal politicians. Our chapters followed the Clintons, Gores, and Kerrys all around the country and FReeped them at every opportunity. Our FReeps are legend and the harrowing stories are permanently recorded for posterity on news reels and in several books. We’ve never met a liberal that didn’t deserve FReeping!

Rudy Tooters should pray their man (if you can call her that) does not win the nomination. The FReeping opportunities will be limitless.

I hardly think that three words, in all caps, sprinkled about my numerous posts constitutes YELLING.

Once again we disagree on what is helpful and what is rude and counter-productive.

Oh well.

Let's never forget this. Thank God Almighty some of us survived Roe v. Wade. Giuliani is precisely what Mr. Pokorny has stated--a politician; one living in the world of the abstract.

The Dixie Chicks had the right to say what they said. I wouldn’t take away their right to speak their minds, regardless of my own opinions of the content of their message.

Having said that, it is also my right to decide whether or not I want to support them by purchasing their products.

Your enemy is highly educated, well funded, organized and politically experienced. They also have the added bonus of being morally bankrupt, meaning that they will stop at nothing to achieve their ends. If you think public emotional outbursts, faxes, signs and phamphlets will get the job done, ok.

I’ve made another decision.

I think your misrepresentations throughout this thread are more obnoxious than the occasional words typed in all caps which you claim is “yelling.”
