Wine from China? Not a chance I’d drink it. Wouldn’t be surprised if the extra gene was the Prestone gene! ;-)

a grape variety six times richer than normal in resveratrol I'll just have six times as much of the normal stuff, thanks.

Wouldn’t the grapes be just as beneficial if not quite as much fun?

Would you drink wine made from genetically engineered grapes if it had extra benefits? Such wine could be on the menu, thanks to a grape variety six times richer than normal in resveratrol, the compound in red wine associated with increased longevity, decreased heart disease and a host of other benefits.Or, you could just take high-dose resveratrol. Good quality supplements are at www.lef.org. Do a search there on resveratrol and read the articles. Fascinating stuff. It actually causes human gene expression to change very much like calorie restriction does. Calorie restriction is, to date, the only proven way to extend lifespan in mammals.
