Too bad. It would have been nice to have him alive and send him to some country where “rigorous interrogation” was permissible. We need people like him to answer questions like “From whom do you get your money and where can we find them?”
The operation was on 12/27 and the news release was a week later.... I'd have to think that they were processing the intel from whatever they gathered at the site.
If a biggie like Ibrahim was meeting with two local commanders, there was probably at least one computer among them.
Note, too, that the good guys were acting on "intelligence reports" -- they've already cracked somebody else.
I heard that. Per the media and DemonRats, Pres. Bush is evil for having secret facilities overseas where foreigners interrogate prisoners. What are you supposed to do when the judicial and legislative branch create a situation where you’re not even supposed to talk to these pieces of human debris in the field without a lawyer representing them?
In the eyes of the media and rats, they deserve every ounce of “due process” that an American would get in an American court of law, but G.W. Bush and the U.S. Military are guilty as charged for the mere accusation (by al Qaeda) of bombing wedding parties and 300,000 Iraqi civilians for the fun of it.
Of course, it doesn’t help when the civilian govt. commissions a blue ribbon commission with promises that heads will roll every time these asshats spin a yarn that America is bombing baby milk factories and wedding parties at 3:00 in the morning 75 miles out in the open desert.
