Health coverage rates will rise again (Romney-care drives higher demand and raises prices)
Boston Globe ^ | September 13, 2007 | Jeffrey Krasner

Massachusetts health insurers are predicting their rates will increase by about 10 percent next year for most residents covered through employer health plans, marking the eighth consecutive year of double-digit premium hikes.

Increases will range from 8 percent to 12 percent, depending on the type of coverage, according to a Globe survey of the region's major insurers. For some, however, the increases will be slightly lower than in previous years. Tufts Health Plan, for example, said most members' premiums will go up by 8 percent to 9 percent, compared with 10.2 percent to 11.5 percent this year.

"I see no end in sight to these increases," said Stuart Altman, professor of national health policy and dean of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham. "The only thing that's going to stop this is a meltdown of our healthcare system."

OK, I'm getting more and more cynical as I research these Romneycare articles...I'm only human.

Mitt's policies are raining down disaster on the people of MA. Can't people understand what he's done up there? How can they say the man's qualified to damage the nation as he will if elected POTUS?!?

Don't people do research on candidates anymore or do they just listen to socialist, feel-good soundbytes?

FReepers, do the research, please!!! Then comment on these articles.

It's like Huckabee. All that adoration for the man, I did research over a few days and realized he's Bill Clinton with an "R" next to his name. As awe have viable conservative candidates in the race, it's unconscionable to support neo-socialists or RINOs.

Uhng!

Actually, the tracking polls (eg. above for MASS., showing Romney tanking to HIllary)
and the paucity of newspapers endorsing Romney, show the people "up there" DO understand.

The problem are Romney's enthusiastic supporters (below) who either can't see, or couldn't care less.
and the fact that Romney's has relatively endless money for his dirty tricks and attacks.

Well look at it this way. If Romney isn’t the candidate, the people of MA can then look at Hillary and say, “oh crap” and maybe vote for a Republican.

So why is a poll of registered voters in a heavily democrat state even relevent as to what candidate should get the GOP nomination? The only way the GOP would stand a chance in Mass. is if they nominated John Edwards. It’s as if the democrats should select their candidate based upon which one could carry Alabama.

Mass previously went for Ronald Reagan after hostages
were held by Iran and Iran began war on America.

Pres. Reagan won Massachusetts, because Reagan was the REAL THING.

Where are all the Kool-Aid drinkers? Waiting for their instructions, I supposes.

Just to save time, I'll print their answers for them.
It's not Willards Plan!
Williard, the data geek, had the support of some other data geek at the Hoover Foundation. So there!
Williard is brighter than you!
This is why President Willard is important, so that he can fix health care.

Romney's big-government boondoggle...just now beginning its self-destruction. No sane conservative would ever vote for this liberal.
