What part of his response bothers you? It sounds quite reasonable to me to defend an old man who is being assaulted. Defending the old man would have been very much “Pro” his life ,, I have no problems with meeting force with force... You aren’t one of those that thinks it’s wrong to execute murderers are you?
With all due respect, being “pro-life” does not mean “pro-passivity”. To be for the lives of our most vulnerable and innocent is a just cause, and to be ‘pro-tective’ of one of our other less-able is also a just cause.
