And how long is this going to go on?

Iraq still isn’t stable, neither is Afghanistan - and no end to this crap in sight.

At $180 billion every year, how long before the US goes effectively bankrupt?

And what goes it say about the enemy - yeah, those raghead camel-jockeys that we love to mock - that they can hold off what, 40,000 well-fed, well-armed, well-provisioned Western troops in Afghanistan?

It’s been over 6 years now - and Bin Laden, Mullah Omar, and al-Zarkawi STILL aren’t dead/captured. Why?!

It will go on as long as needed. We are winning. We have been taking the fight to the enemy and killing or capturing the majority of them. We are funding the war and fighting the majority of it, not you. You have some brave Canadian soldiers fighting and dying in Afghanistan that I am confident would disagree with you and would take your ungrateful sorry arse out to the woodshed.

Cause we are too pussy-whipped to cross the border to go into the countries they are hiding in.

Posting through a time warp from Autumn of 2006?

At $180 billion every year, how long before the US goes effectively bankrupt?

See post 7 for a dose of reality.

It says what anyone with a brain already knew: Insurgencies take a long time to go down, but they almost always go down.

It’s been over 6 years now - and Bin Laden, Mullah Omar, and al-Zarkawi STILL aren’t dead/captured. Why?!

Because only a moron would bother looking for those guys at the expense of resources to dismantle their networks. It’s been over 6 years now - and we haven't had another major attack on American soil. Why?!

As you can see in the post above, 180 Billion is chicken feed compared to just the "entitlements" in the US budget. It's also only about 1/4 of the total DoD budget, including the special war funding.

Of course Congress only appropriated about $70 B so far this fiscal year, not $180B

The DoD and the WoT budgets are not the problem.

As we add 15 trillion dollars in economic output every year, I'd say we could do it forever. It's 1.2% of GDP.

How much has Canada done to aid his death or capture?

The world has long benefited from the American man fighting wars all over this world, and we get trashed for not doing it “your” way.

Whatever.

And how long is this going to go on? As long as necessary to protect ourselves from these murderous savages. To protect the American people is the number one function of government. Government should be doing for the people that which people cannot do for themselves.

I can provide my own healthcare. I cannot provide my own national defense. Thank you, President George Bush.

Till terrorist are dead. Small investment for living and enjoying freedom.

Iraq still isn’t stable, neither is Afghanistan

Al Qadah being beaten in Iraq has made them unwanted everywhere else, that’s a good return.

###
At $180 billion every year, how long before the US goes effectively bankrupt?

Infinite time horizon, we are going to have win at some time , or there will be no future.

###
that they can hold off what, 40,000 well-fed, well-armed, well-provisioned Western troops in Afghanistan?

Are you keeping up on the war on the ground or the New York Times?

They can still surrender, but they are being hunted by the best hunters in the world, it’s only a matter of time, and patients on our part. I would have went nuclear on them without regard for anything else, historians will have to give Bush credit with being respectful of civilian casualties and infrastructure.

And how long is this going to go on?

As long as it takes.

Iraq still isn’t stable, neither is Afghanistan - and no end to this crap in sight.

You are unaware of the considerable security improvements in Iraq since, oh, June? Have you not been paying attention?

At $180 billion every year, how long before the US goes effectively bankrupt?

Sometime after Canada runs out of Moosehead.

And what goes it say about the enemy - yeah, those raghead camel-jockeys that we love to mock - that they can hold off what, 40,000 well-fed, well-armed, well-provisioned Western troops in Afghanistan?

There are several thousands fewer of those "raghead camel-jockeys" today than there were four years ago. Why don't you ask Achmed who is winning?

It’s been over 6 years now - and Bin Laden, Mullah Omar, and al-Zarkawi STILL aren’t dead/captured. Why?!

al-Zarqawi is quite dead. Perhaps, you didn't get the memo. There's a distinct possibility that Osama is, too. In any event, they've been driven back into their caves while the more dangerous targets are dealt with.

See, that wasn't so hard, was it?
