You must be an identity voter as Rush described on Friday when he tried to find a reason why some voters in Republican camp support Huckabee when he has a track record of not being a conservative while there are real conservative candidates out there (Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter).
Isara - I think you correct in your assessment.
Huckabee is a mile wide and an inch thick.
Poke a little and out will squirt just another liberal democrat from Hope, Arkansas.
Thank you! But it is Rush’s assessment, not mine.
Yeah I know, thinking can get one in trouble when deal with Team Huck...
Let me paraphrase. You are automatically assumed guilty and get Tasered for EVERYTHING during the arrest process. Then the real fun begins.
“Who is Rush supporting?”
Rush does not endorse during the primary. Rush said the last time he did endorse during a primary was in 2000 when it was down to Bush or McCain. Rush endorsed President Bush because he does not consider McCain a real conservative. Today I would say that Rush does not consider Huckabee or Romney real conservatives either. So I believe if Rush were to endorse, it would most likely be Fred Thompson.
GO FRED! :)
Huck is turning into the Britney Spears of the GOP campaign.
If you are a Republican presidential candidate,
RULE # 1 : Don’t piss off Rush
:-)

Just when you thought huckabee’s campaign couldn’t get any creepier...
Excerpts from the Cato Institute article:
Follow Huckabees Money:

I read in Robert Novaks column this morning that Mike Huckabee held a fundraiser earlier this week at the Houston home of Dr. Steven Hotze. As Novak notes, Hotze is a leader in the highly conservative Christian Reconstruction movement.
Christian Reconstructionists, for those unfamiliar with the term, are Religious Right radicals who believe that America, and the rest of the world besides, should be governed in accordance with strict Biblical law. And yes, that includes stoning adulterers. Heres a snippet from A Manifesto for the Christian Church, a 1986 document from an outfit called the Coalition on Revival that was signed by, among others, Steven Hotze:
We affirm that the Bible is not only Gods statements to us regarding religion, salvation, eternity, and righteousness, but also the final measurement and depository of certain fundamental facts of reality and basic principles that God wants all mankind to know in the sphere of law, government, economics, business, education, arts and communication, medicine, psychology, and science. All theories and practices of these spheres of life are only true, right, and realistic to the degree that they agree with the Bible.
Yes, you are right ... Just when you thought huckabee’s campaign couldn’t get any creepier.
It looks like Huckabee just might have a little bit of a Christ complex.
First, I am a Christian.
Second - I saw a bumper sticker once that said:
“God, save me from your people.”
The people backing Huckabee for religious reasons are the people I’m hoping God will save our country from.
Not.
Agree.
Rush is not a fool, he won't come out with both guns blazing, unless he has verified that he is shooting at the right target.
He says he won't endorse a primary candidate, but he seems to prefer Fred.
I remember how I felt about Clinton and Huckabee seems to be carrying on the Arkansas pattern....”IT’S ALL ABOUT ME”.
Chuck Huck!
I already had one too many Presidents from Arkansas and Georgia....nothing personal about Southerners I consider myself a redneck!
Rush will support the Republican nominee.
