Forget the MSM, that garbage is posted here at FR on almost every Fred thread. Anti-Fred Freepers are only too happy too regurgitate leftist idiocy to slam Fred. I prefer the term religious conservatives....although Evangelicals which are not necessarily conservatives may like Huckster, religious conservatives don’t even though Huckie does give red meat on abortion and homo-marriage

I agree that Fred screwed up on the marriage amendment and parsing his view on an abortion amendment

BUT WHAT REALLY HURT..........was his lackluster “uh” filled performances first two debates....I know plenty of Fred supporters who were dismayed

Huckabee’s not a conservative, and the voters are adults, so if they’re really “the conervative vote” they should be smart enough to figure out the choice is either Fred or Duncan, and Duncan’s not competing in Iowa.

This strategy has never intentionally worked. The immense coverage and momentum one gets from IA and NH tend to steamroll the later states.

IIRC, before Kerry winning in Iowa almost guaranteed you'd lose the nomination. AT least in recent times...
