[Sri Lanka Ministry of Defence] NEW JERSEY / SRI LANKA - LTTE Heavily Involved In Fund Raising For Hilary Clinton In New Jersey

"Well known activists of a banned terrorist group in the United States are involved in the fund raising activities of the US Democratic candidate Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton"

"According to a fundraising web site for the Senator, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) activists are involved in raising funds from 100 Dollars to 2300 Dollars to help elect Senator Clinton as the next United States President. The website could be reached at: https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/events/nj1212.html "

"The terrorist group, that introduced innovative methods like suicide jackets to many terrorist groups in the world, is listed as a foreign terrorist group by the State Department and the US Federal police , the FBI has alleged that the group had offered to them millions of dollars as bribes to lift the ban. The group is alleged to be using bribes to buy influence in India, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The money is being earned mostly by fraudulent business, credit card scams, drug running, voluntary fund raising and extortions of the Tamil Diaspora, according to a recent report of the Jane's Defense weekly"

It’s just another election “loan”. Get enough money to win and pay it off “later”.

Is there a screenshot of the page listing LTTE? The page referenced in the article is a Tony Bennett campaign concert.

There is nothing at

https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/events/nj1212.html

to suggest involvement by the Tamil Tigers. What am I missing?

“According to the Clinton website, a leading LTTE activist, who came to live in New Jersey in 1994, called Ram Ranjan is one of the fund raisers of the Clinton campaign. Several others who are connected with him are also listed among the fund raisers. “

Nope, the Clinton website does not say this. Globalincident and the other link you posted have some problems here.

The GlobalIncident.org web page that published this story also includes a link to the same story that is - interestingly enough - published on the Sri Lanka Ministry of Defense website:

So this could go a couple of ways.

Way One, the unlikely one, is that HRC had the incriminating page up with references to the Tamil Tigers and her campaign took it down when the fundraiser was exposed.

Way Two is that it never referenced the Tamils at all, but people linked to it and claimed that a banned group was openly soliciting funds for HRC. Could be either the Tigers seeking creds or someone trying to smear HRC.

I favor Way Two because lots of people would have seen the page in question, and I really find it hard to believe that HRC’s people would deliberately and openly use a banned terror group (I said openly).

Either way, something is false about the topic of this thread.

Not surprising at all. The Tamil Tigers diaspora in Eastern Canada have long been fundraising for the Canadian Liberals, and the Canadian liberals for decades reciprocated the quid pro quo by refusing to list the LTTE as a terrorist organization in Canada, and preventing sanctions against the Tamil Tigers through international organizations.

Now that the Liberals are out of power in Canada, the Tamils are shifting their transnational cross border influence peddling money to what they see as a good potential investment, the abyss that is the Democrat party in the United States.

yep, i remember reading about Paul Martin going to a $1,000.00 a plate benefit for the Tamil Tigers. it was after Harper got into office that they were finally put on the terrorist list. they are all over the Toronto area, or were.
