NumbersUSA's Roy Beck has revised his ratings on 15 Presidential candidates of both Parties. Although every candidate wants voters to think he/she would end future illegal immigration, Roy finds that only six are making promises that rate as "good" or "excellent" in this category. Likewise, only four of these 15 are making promises that rate them as good or excellent on reducing legal immigration, which is at its highest level in history.
In the Republican race, former Senator Fred Thompson (Tenn.) and former Governors Mitt Romney (Mass.) and Mike Huckabee (Ark.) are outdoing each other to adopt policies to try to look as good as Representatives Tom Tancredo (Colo.), Duncan Hunter (Calif.) and Ron Paul (Tex.). Take a Look
I believe NumbersUSA is a Clinton front group. Big backers of Bill and Hill. They sell your phone numbers to campaigns. Lowlife telemarketers who have been accused of scamming seniors.
Apparently, he likes to ignore Paul's constantly voting against putting the military on the border or his comments on immigration that (the US)should welcome everyone who wants to come here and work.
I also notice that NumbersUSA still hasn't corrected the errors for Thompson regarding misrepresenting several bills (claiming he voted for when he voted against- they ignore the final vote and only look at procedural votes to move from committee to committee)
Thompson comes out very well. Romney? not so good.
Pretty hard to believe a new crusader when you have to walk around his own illegals to get into his mansion.

NumbersUSA was at the front of the congressional battle lines to stop the last congressional attempt to give amnesty to illegal aliens.
Gore had an A- rating, which is even higher than most of the Pubbie wannabes.

I disagree, there were a lot of groups on the front line, NumbersUSA is primarly just a website. I wouldn’t give them that much credit.
Basis for this?

includes Sen. Gaylord Nelson and AG Doug LaFollette, liberal Wisconsin Dems, Lindsay Grant, one of the key backers of the infamous Carter "Global 2000 Report", David Pimentel, a Cornell Prof who has authored many "we're doomed" studies. In short, I think this is more "anti-immigration" in service of enviro-ism, than "let's be a strong and confident nation that takes control of our own borders and destiny," which I think is the right line.
Maybe so but I saw their representatives on Lou Dobbs show frequently before the senate ruled on amnesty.

According to Intrade, the winner of yesterday’s GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

Hmmm. They’ve had my number for almost two years now and the only campaign calls I’ve gotten have been GOP.
