CBS News must be amazed that someone would apologize so quickly.

"One of the most common misunderstandings about LDS doctrine is that we believe Jesus and Lucifer to be brothers. This is a true belief among Latter-day Saints. However, oddly enough, the critics never explain the rest of LDS doctrine which states our belief in "ALL" spirits being brothers and sisters."

Mormons don't believe Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. They believe Jesus and Lucifer and other spirits are all spirit brothers.

Whatever that means.

On NBC's "Today" show, Romney said "attacking someone's religion is really going too far."

I guess it depends on the religion. Al Gore's pagan religion is fair game, and to be honest, so would that of a Wahabi Muslim.

Guess we’ll all find out whether Huckabee is teflon or not, pretty soon. :)

Oh, wahhhh.

But it's true.

Gee whiz, if he can't stand up to a mild question such as this, he's CLEARLY not fit to lead in time of war.

Someone might REALLY hurt his feelings!

Proved to me Hucka is just too dumb to be President. Maybe it’s not dumbness, but a sure lack of political instinct to say such a stupid thing as that.

Well I won’t apologize. Mormonism is a cult. Read Walter Martin’s books on the subject. If you aren’t interested move on to the next post. I don’t reply when there is no doubt I’m right.

The dems have taken note. They will be sure to use it against him when the time is right.

I listened to Glenn Beck this morning. He was talking about this.

He said Huckabee said Mormons aren’t Christian.

Do you know if Huck said that?

“”It’s time to move on folks ... this place is sounding more like DU not FR ...””

My, ex cathedra and patronizingly insulting at the same time!

No, I think I’ll continue to talk about the bigot.

BTW, he’s a dumb bigot if he tipped his poison to a NYTimes reporter. Should have kept the coded language among his jerks.

Huckabee Apologizes For Mormon Remark

That goof Huckabee.

If it was a Mormon remark, let the Mormon apologize.

I recognized this as a media-generated non-story the moment I first read about it. I’m surprised and disappointed that Sean Hannity and Rush decided to pile on before Governor Huckabee had a chance to answer the charge.

Of course Mormons don't believe Jesus and the Devil are brothers.

They just like to wear special underwear and belive God is a space alien.

Nothing wrong with that.

It is a non issue IMO.

Huckabee told CNN that he had asked if Mormons believe Jesus and the devil are brothers because it was something he had heard, adding that he never thought his query would appear in the story. On NBC's "Today" show, Romney said "attacking someone's religion is really going too far."

Let them duke it out.

Pettiness against pettiness has no place in politics toward becoming the next POTUS.

One way or another, one political idiot must win and one political idiot must lose.

[New York Times writer Zev Chafets: I asked Huckabee, who describes himself as the only Republican candidate with a degree in theology, if he considered Mormonism a cult or a religion. “I think it’s a religion,” he said. “I really don’t know much about it.” . . . I was about to jot down this piece of boilerplate when Huckabee surprised me with a question of his own: "Don’t Mormons,” he asked in an innocent voice, "believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?”]

One of the painful lessons I’ve learned over the years is that many politicians and many preachers will lie to you and take your money.
