I’m not a lawyer but isn’t court action actually forstalled until the city OFFICALLY acts to evict (i.e., makes the actual demand in writing to the BSA to quit the premises)? Isn’t that the probable trigger for the court action you mentioned?

Until then, isn’t this all well, just so much talk?

Evil always does overreach, and this is a VERY interesting case from many angles. Knowing the nature of evil as embodied by this most flagrantly aggressive expression of the Homosexual Agenda, I would keep my eye on “sweetheart deals” that may already be in the offing as to the ultimate disposition of this building once they force the Scouts out. Just watch—this is a subtle kind of “backdoor eminent domain” with someone reaping big benefits , or at least dreaming of them, at the end of this process-—wouldn’t be surprised if the place went over to some gay or gay-connected group. Consider that the real Gay agenda involves them unleashing their unilateral hatred on a group that is doing nothing more than fighting for its right to free association-—The vengeful aagression of the gays is naked, and it is THEY who should be sued. I have a number of activist law firms in mind to suggest to them-—
I have some experience in this area fighting developers who like tearing down historic houses they’ve managed to obtain cheap, dirty and lowdown, in order to build crappy-looking townhouses.

The famous Beaux Arts style building was built and paid for by the Scouts, and turned over to the city with the understanding that the Scouts would be allowed to remain in it rent-free "in perpetuity."

Sounds like the Boy Scouts should evict the city of Philly from their building.

The city has told the Scouts they will be evicted if they cannot come up with US $200,000 a year "market value" rent for the land on which their building sits.

The fact that Philadelphia made this threat means the Boy Scouts can go to court to get an injunction to prevent the illegal eviction.

Get a lawyer and sue.

Absolutely.

It's nice to see the city and city council of Philadelphia concentrating on matters of such great import./s Ridiculous.

This seems to be the libreal modus operandi, that is to wait until someone else has done the hard work of building something, then confiscating it as punishment for some 'crime.

When the Scouts leave, I hope they take the building with them.

God, I hate liberals.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Let’s call them what they are: Marxists and Useful Idiots.

Scratch a liberal and under his thin skin is a socialist. Dig a little deeper and you will soon find the Marxist nuclear fuel rod that drives everything he says and does.

Corollary: All Marxists lie.

The city knows they are doing wrong and I have read other articles where they admit that compensation to the scouts will end up being over 5 million dollars but they feel they must bow to the militant homosexual wing of the Demonrat party.

“I’m sure an EXCELLENT breach of contract lawsuit can be made of this. If the contract is rescinded, the Boy Scouts get the building back”

I hope so. But the boy scouts may have a problem if the “rent free” understanding was not written into the contract Normally, oral contracts don’t hold up when it comes to real estate. But this homo-fascism is a clear-cut instance of conflict of interest on the part of the city solicitor.

So sue and take the property back!

To promote such action as this, it’s clear to me that the homosexual lobby is a hate group.

Perverts in Power

Do you remember the days when the idea of voting for a homosexual for office was just a hypothetical? And, you were considered closed minded if you would not vote for one.

You may have heard the saying that it's a good idea to keep your mind closed enough from keeping garbage from falling into it.

Philadelphia has lost an opportunity to provide pedophiles direct access to our youth.

The Boy Scouts have maintained their integrity. Question for Hillary: "Do you support Philadelphia's attempt to provide pedophiles direct access to the Boy Scouts?"

The "City of Brotherly Love" has told the Scouts they have until June 1 to vacate their historic building.

What Would Howard (Roark) Do?

That SHOULD be the crux of the entire case, but it isn't, because these homosexuals in office in the city of "brotherly" love can't keep their sexual escapades separate from what is good for society. This whole situation is despicable!
