I didn’t get past the first paragraph or so, the author is a bonafide ignorant f*ckwit.
They seem to be turning out more of them every year. It’s almost like someone wrote a parody editorial of a DUmmy or “The Nation” screed and hit all the buttons...

Then you missed this part.

What in the first two paragraphs could you possibly take issue with? It could be the description of the Goldwater-Rockefeller split of 40 years ago, but is relevant today. On immigration and many other things, there IS a split.
