San Francisco - Police said today that last month's report of a woman raped by the same man twice in five days was fabricated and composite sketches the woman helped generate of her alleged attacker have been removed from the department's Web site.
A 27-year-old woman first told police that on Nov. 10 she was assaulted on the street during a purse snatching and again five days later after the assailant apparently learned her address and attacked her at her home. She did not report the first attack until after the second one supposedly occurred.
The woman told police that she was first raped about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 as she walked from the Glen Park BART station toward Bosworth Street. A woman who was with the male assailant yelled at the victim, demanded her purse, then slapped her and pushed her to the pavement after grabbing it, she told police.
The man then pushed the woman down again and raped her, police said.
On Nov. 15, the woman told police, she was driving up to her home when the man reappeared, this time with a gun, and followed her into the garage. He then raped the woman a second time, she told authorities.
Sgt. Steve Mannina, spokesman for the department, said the woman admitted to police she made up the account of the attacks.

Pretty good actually. Rapists often develope a fixation on a particular victim that only ends if the victim dies or they get caught.
The real question is,
What are the odds that a woman would make false accusations about anything..
In San Francisco the odds are too high to calculate. Now if a man made the same claim there....
Wonder how things would have gone had the cops arrested a guy based on her description? Had they done so, and she picked him out of the line up, I’m guessing she would not have recanted.
Prosecute her, and lock her sorry butt up.
Better odds than that woman actually being charged for filing a false police report.
“san francisco.” i’ve heard about mentally disturbed homeless people out there. i guess none of them are female?
What are the odds of a woman being taken by three men inside a house and gang raped, twice?
Ask Crystal Mangum, who claimed it happened to her—once when she was fourteen, and once again when she met some lacrosse players.
And she’s still out there, ready to claim it again . . .
My Ideal woman is Hanna Dustin, it would have been my GGGrand Mother but she was not into the up close and personal approach that Hanna used.
This woman fantasized rape because fantasy sex is the only kind of sex a woman can find from a man in San Francisco.
I honestly wouldn't know, but my guess would be that there are.
I've lived in San Diego, Seattle, and Reno in my life, as you can
see I've never gone near SF.
The Innocence Project has used DNA testing now to free over 200 men wrongly convicted, mostly for rapes they did not do. There are probably many more men in jail right now for rapes they did not commit. 40% of rape accusations turn out to be fabrications by the accuser's own eventual admission. This does not include the percentage that never own up to it, such as in the Duke Lacrosse case. Sex crimes by far have the highest false accusation rate of any crime, yet most people are willing to believe they are true from the first report. Why is there such a disconnect on this?
.do women lie about rape 100% of the time like rapists lie about raping?..no.......
once again, not proving rape does not mean it did not happen...most women do not even report rape, and a certain number will actually recant due to feelings of having "caused" it in some way, like a battered woman feels she "caused" the battering...
does the Duke Lax type of thing happen....of course...
do women lie?...yes.... but certainly no more often than men....
Juanita was raped by the same perp twice on the same day
