How ‘bout stay out of Bear country?

Like people who swim in waters patroled by sharks then whine when they get bit.

I never understood camping and hiking deep in the woods.

Let’s see Las Vegas or a forest , hmmmm.....

Let’s see, beautiful beaches of barbados or a forest, hmm...

gee you sound like some pathetic yankee that doesn't know the beauty of the outdoors. Camping, hiking and just being outside beats drunks, coked up whores, fat wannabe celebrities, gamblers and the parasites that are attracted by Vegas.

The kid was outside and enjoying life and a predator came along and killed him. That's sad, but what's really sad is that he wasn't protected by those camping with him. Probably no weapon or even CS spray was around. I've always got fishing line with snap-caps, glow sticks or

Then it's up to us to kill anything that shouldn't be in the campsite. I feel sorry for the parents of the kid. Bears are so fast and strong the kid didn't have a chance. I doubt I'd have much of a chance if I was racked out in my tent and something tore it open like a bag of chips.

Please note carefully that when predators were shot by Americans exercising their Unalienable Rights (see Jefferson, Washington, et al), predators stayed away from people, as they knew Man was the top predator.

When America began to accept the collectivist principles of the socialism impaired, then predators lost their fear of gunpowder.

Why shouldn’t they - Americans had been stripped of their most basic right, the right to be armed to protect their lives, and the lives of their children.

Suggestion:

Remember Jacobson’s Law of Predator management - “When gunpowder speaks, beasts listen.”

We’ve had a bear or bears sighted in our neighborhood a few times. I can’t say I like it, and hunting them would be fine with me.

“How ‘bout stay out of Bear country?”

Thanks to collectivist thinking of the socialists, 50% of America is planned to be “sent back to the Pleistocene” - read the Wildlands Project.

Bears, cougar, wolves, ad nauseam - all are going to be allowed to eat humans who have been stripped of their Unalienable Right to be armed.

Hence my tag line, “In a society predicated upon principles, it is essential to examine principle, for some principles are antithetical to Liberty.”

Worry about reduction of, or actual extinction of, your Unalienable Rights which the Founding Documents once guaranteed to you.

Beasts are not in danger of extinction, but the Constitution is.

Once the bear is biting you, place the muzzle against the body and pull the trigger.

The effect will be similar to that of a diver’s ‘band stick’.

Bye, bye, bear.

Can you explain that? I have no idea what a band stick is,

Oopsie! My bad. It is a typo - is should be “bang stick, not ‘band stick’.

A bang stick is a short barrel, sealed at both ends to keep water out, and mounted on either a stick or rather rarely, on a spear.

On contact with the target, a bullet is discharged into the target, causing a wound channel. The hot gases then open up the wound channel. A .223 bang stick can disable or kill a 10 foot hammerhead shark because of the tissue damage caused by the hot gases.

The Forest Service used to issue .375 H&H Magnums in Alaska. Don’t know if they still do.

You would be surprised how few unarmed humans rush up to a bear...although they do exist. For a short time.

I’ve hiked in bear country, and it usually isn’t a problem. I’m more worried about the weird people I might run into than the bears.

That said, I also knew a wildlife biologist who was mauled by a bear - they can surprise you. As he topped a ridge line, two bear cubs ran past him, and Momma wasn’t amused.

“Momma wasn’t amused.”

Probably the WORST case scenario to bump into a bear.

It is not good to bump into an amimal

with babies or
during mating season, males have extra testosterone pumping throught them to help fight off rival males, they will assume you are a rival male and take you out.
