One wonders at which "moment" before birth, the girls on da view, would call the procedure MURDER.

Would it be one minute, three minutes, thirty minutes, three hours, 24 hours, etc.

The fact that the term "murder" is applied at a specific time, what about three minutes/hours/days, does the term "murder" still apply?

You get my point.

1 minute before birth. When is birth? Delivery through the v.opening? What is partial birth abortion?

Is a c-section not really birth because the baby is cut out the side rather that using the front door?

Is it not really a baby because it hasn’t come to full term yet?

There are some (maybe more in Europe where they have socialized medicine footing the bill, than in America where it is private payer) who say that the parents should have a period of time (up to say a week) to determine if their child is healthy and wanted before considering it wrong to kill it.

I’m afraid I have to correct you...I believe she called it “murdah”. :)

Yep, I've read that unfortunate drift toward the Middle Ages in Europe.

Next, they will be burning heretics at the stake (no not heretics of faith but heretics of athiesm/socialism/environmentalism.

I can only think of 4 instances in which abortion would have been justified. They’re sitting on either side of Ron Paul.

I once dated a woman who was Episcopalian, and a graduate of one that faith’s most prestigious seminaries(but not as a divinity student) who used to say the following: “It’s not a child until it’s born.”

That did it for me.

I am now maried to a beautiful and God fearing woman. She is a gift from God.

Pro-life bump!

This was very good! Dr. Paul (he earned that title on this topic) responded very well in this dialogue.

Any time you intentionally stop an innocent beating heart and active brainwaves it’s murder. Those who don’t believe that now will when they find themselves before that Great White Throne.

Is it not really a baby because it hasn’t come to full term yet?

The weasel-word has always been "viable," which I believe has been pushed back to about 20-21 weeks by improvements in medical care.

One might predict that the "survival" record could be earlier, given sufficient advancement.

It's been my observation that pro-aborts don't particularly like being reminded that viability is essentially a technological issue -- they use it as a convenient crutch to avoid the "right or wrong" question.

When pressed, they will immediately revert to arguments based on cost, or (the old standby) various arguments based on the convenience of the mother.

And, really, "convenience" is what underlies most of the pro-abort arguments -- whether it be a trade of life vs. cost, or life vs. the mother's loss of opportunity ... it really just boils down to a utilitarian question.

It's an interesting debate strategy ... especially since everybody at heart agrees with the fact that it's really a baby, not a lump of flesh.

When thinking of a fifth the front-runner for the democRATic presidential nomination comes to mind.

Apparently, to the ghouls, the location of an object greatly changes the nature of the object. In the womb, not a person therefore “murder” does not apply - near the womb exit, a full person and you can use the term “murder”.

If I take my lamp from my living room and put it in my bedroom, it does not cease to be a lamp. It’s either a lamp or it isn’t. Doesn’t matter how long it’s been in the room.
