A good friend of mine is from France. They won't surrender. France's silent majority is at a boiling point over this and I expect things to get ugly sooner rather than later. Just because the politicians have no backbone don't think the people are the same. The illegal immigration mess in our own country is very similar. And that's where you're wrong. You and a few like-minded pals may be boiling, but "people," in general, are not. And the reason they're not boiling is primarily because "our" illegals a) tend to work for a living, and b) aren't prone to massive rioting.

That's not to say things might not change here ... but the dynamics of our illegal immigration problem are nothing like the problem of the French "yutes."

The crisis will come soon, as in when the dwindling French middle class can no longer support the growing welfare state

I agree with in that I don’t think the French will surrender. The Europeans may seem like weenies to us now but Europe has a very long history with some pretty ugly parts.
