The U.S. government admitted today in federal court that the prosecution's star witness in the criminal trial of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean – confessed drug dealer Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila – lied under oath. "He told some lies on the stand," Mark Stelmach, the assistant U.S. attorney representing prosecutor U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton said under questioning by a three-judge 5th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel in New Orleans

And if Sutton knew they were lies at the time he testified, but didn’t inform the Court, what then of Sutton?

Disbarment hearings? Contempt of Court? Tell his mommy on him?

Well, Mr. President?

With the forthcoming elections, I think he is trying to avoid making waves and hurting Republican candidates.

In a reverse coincidence, making waves always worked for me...along with dealing with the natural kind of seas that one runs into out in the "tall water".

And if Sutton knew they were lies at the time he testified...

We've already been through this - do you remember that piece of slime named Mike Nifong? Nothing substantial will be done. The two agents have been in prison for what? Over a year I think? If they disbar Sutton that will be considered "good enough"...

Seems like Sutton should be facing some kind of charges himself if his star witness lied and Sutton knew.

I’m hoping that the judge will set aside the convictions because of Government misconduct. And this is crap: “18 U.S.C. Section 924(c), a law passed to require an additional 10-year minimum prison sentence, if felons in the act of committing crimes such as rape or burglary carry a weapon.”

This is the case that finally tipped me over the edge from being a reluctant Bush supporter to a total BDS sufferer.

He lost all of his credibility with his “ram-it-past-our-tonsils” backdoor deal with the Democraps on immigration, but his failure to pardon these two good men who were doing their jobs to the best of their ability was the last straw.

He told some lies on the stand

But of course, he was squeaky clean and Scout's honor truthful when he was "testifying" about the actions of the Evil Border Patrol agents.

Just ask Johnny.

And if Sutton knew they were lies at the time he testified, but didn’t inform the Court, what then of Sutton?

Depending on the state ethics rules and applicable laws, he should (IMHO) face sanction, disbarment, and possibly criminal charges. I'm sure that Compton's and Ramos's defense attorneys will look into and pursue this...

Yeah, unfortunately court officers, prosecutors, and judges don’t seem to be subject to the same laws as we little people.

thanks. the earlier story did not seem to state outright that the smuggler lied. (What? A criminal lie?)

So maybe the prosecutor should share a cell with Nifong or a cell across form Ramos-Compean, That would be justice
