An airline employee is calling an apology from San Diego Congressman Bob Filner pathetic.
In August, Joanne Kay Kunkel says Filner screamed at her and shoved her aside as he headed into an employees-only area in search of his missing luggage.
Filner was fined $100 and told to write Kunkel an apology.
"It was a misunderstanding that escalated… I apologized to her," Filner said. "I do wish the airlines would treat us with a little more respect as passengers."
Kunkel says she's still considering a civil suit against Filner

He should resign due to being a sleezy rat... but some airline employees are a real issue... even if not the case in this case. I was not taking up for the rodent pol, even if it seemed that way.

Obviously Kunkel did not realize that Filner was a Congressman, or all of this misunderstanding could have been avoided. She was trying to apply the rules to somebody rules simply do not apply to. It is an understandable error, since she Did Not Know Who He Was...

I'll bet money his "apology" was somewhere along the lines of "I'm sorry you're upset" instead of "I'm sorry, I was wrong to mistreat you."

Furthermore, the NYT would have led the story on Page One for weeks on end until the offender was run out of town on a rail. Remember how they crucified Lott over a few innocuous comments commending a Senate colleague. Yet never a word about a card-carrying member of the KKK who is still sitting in the Senate but happens to be a 'Rat.
I am sorry, but this POS is my congress boy..he needs to resign.. at first he denied the incident happened.. and lo and behold it did.. it seems an apology always is a’ “pass go” card for the dems..
