Oh for crying out loud NC, get a grip on yourself and stop whining like a little girl. We understand you were traumatized because your parents smoked around you. Get over it. They want you to be happy. Move on.
Do I need to explain this to you for the 4th time. More importantly, will you listen?
So, your distaste for second hand smoke beats empirical data. So your breathing contributes to global warming, but I’m not asking you to stop, just be responsible about when and where you breathe. Be careful, someone will be legislating to regulate both in the near future.
Eric, I love you like a brother, but I really do believe you need to back off of your attack on NCL.
While NCL has stated preference for the results of smoking bans, I have never seen a post that states support of the bans. In fact most of NCL’s post have shown a specific dislike of government imposed bans.......IMO anyway, YMMV.
Oh, I know, I’m just busting his chops. He means well.
I’m not goiing to tell my 91 year old mother that she probably has damaged lungs from living with my smoked-two-packs-a-day dad for fifty years.
OK - cool.
Glad we’re still on the same page :^)
We’ll always be on the same page, I’ll just be reading the Cat in the Hat while you are reading an Ayn Rand book.
I’m not offended. I’m an attorney. I get insulted to my face almost every day. Then again, I get paid for it.
I’m sorry, but I found that extremely funny!!!!!!!
Let’s see...you’re an attorney....you’re from North Carolina....I knew John Edwards was a FReeper!
I was actually going to go into law after graduating college. Everyone I know said I should have been a stand up comic or an attorney. I would be a master at cross examination. Then I saw a friend of mine who graduated from law school working at Chi-Chi’s as a waiter.
So I decided that I would go where the money is...I became a pimp and a drug dealer instead.
The point is that the hype surrounding second hand smoke, especially from this report, is just that.
Ouch! I don’t do personal injury law. I represent banks, and also represent a few small towns in Forsyth County. While I don’t make big money, I went to law school 23 years ago after teaching high school for several years, so it SEEMS like good money.
Gabz, I don’t actually get insulted very often. Most folks I deal with on the foreclosure side never even respond to my letters and foreclosure documents.
I never mentioned the data.
Research from the UN and WHO will say whatever their agenda wants it to say.
Thanks for the ping!
