HONG KONG — China's Foreign Ministry gave approval for U.S. Navy ships to spend Thursday's Thanksgiving holiday in Hong Kong, hours after the warships were turned away.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said Beijing was allowing the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk and the other ships in its strike group to enter Hong Kong on humanitarian grounds.

"We have decided to allow the Kitty Hawk strike group to stay in Hong Kong during Thanksgiving, and it is a decision out of humanitarian consideration only," Liu told reporters at a regular media briefing. "China has informed the U.S. of this."

Wonderful timing, Beijing!

How considerate.

Thanksgiving Day is almost over in about six hours.

I don’t think it that’s quite required yet.

The Chinese Government is really confused at times. I think this is one of them. Hong Kong does not like being under Mainland Chinese Rule and the Mainland Chinese don’t much like Hong Kong’s ways (too much money, too independent, lots of Gurka Body Guards..lol).. When some Party Member decided to turn the Fleet Away (which has been stopping there on occasion for as long as I can remember) the ChiCom Party Boys must have got an earful from the local business population.

My guess this was a Local to Party Official cumshaw* related issue (price haggle) that got out of hand as that’s kind of how a things work anyway)

Look at the Chinese (PRC) flag.

Now, find a picture of the old Soviet flag. Each, features a bit of yellow, on a broad field of red. For all the same reasons. Chinese Communism, is based on the Soviet Union.

Look now, at the ROC flag.

Then ... the American flag.

Coincidence?

Tarara Boom Ti AY!

Oh I'm on shore, Cathay!

I will have fun today

And F&*/> you anyway!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket It would NOT surprise me if the Kittyhawk kept right on out to sea, turned South, and made course for Taipei. This is not over yet.

China doing something out of "humanitarian consideration?" Obvious lie.

Good for them. China needs to realize whose economy is fueling theirs.

Perhaps we should offer to keep the rest of our ships out of their posts as well. As a matter of fact, we should help them out by making sure none of their ships are foulded by the waters of our ports.

Yeah, the ChiComs are really our partners and not our competitors, as the Clintons would have us believe.

The commies were up to something and we just decided to make a change in plans. They were trying to delay our arrival for a reason and we decided to pass. China is our adversary now and we have good reason to be wary of their actions.

Actually I suspected there was some discussion of what would happen if Walmart started getting their merchandise elsewhere.
