LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. -- A SWAT team raids the wrong home in Lawrenceburg, Ind., now the homeowner wants some answers.

Police said they were led to the Village Apartments on the trail of fugitive Sean Deaton.

Convinced he was inside apartment 407G, the Lawrenceburg SWAT unit surrounded the building.

Did you see the video? The soldier home from Iraq didn’t have a very high opinion of the cops.

A friend of mine just flew into a little, nowhere airport in northern North Dakota. The TSA guy (yes, one TSA guy for the whole airport) was obviously starving for some action, and took himself way too seriously. The story I heard could have been a Monty Python skit.

After Waco and "rescuing" Elian Gonzales, it became less sexy. Heck, I've read stories about police forces getting tons of extra money to buy SWAT style gear from the Department of Homeland Security. And as the old saying goes, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

CS gas is really a fine powder that is air born by the heat of the burning smoke. Th stuff settles into everything, and just does not want to come out.

Little pissy town of less than 5,000 residents and they have a friggin' SWAT. Appears to me the taxpayers of this town are getting screwed royally. Time to fire one Chief of Police and reduce LEO personnel by 75%.

As someone who has cleaned up tear-gassed structures, I can tell you they didn’t use very much, or the reporter and tenant wouldn’t have been walking around in there without a respirator.

While working on a job of this type in a 7/11 type store, my brother needed a better look at something and briefly raised his respirator. A few seconds later he was rolling around on the parking lot vomiting uncontrollably. Where’s a video camera when you need one?
