Voters hoping to learn more about the positions of Democratic presidential candidates came away from Thursday nights Las Vegas slugfest empty, confused and a bit angry. Even though CNN moderator Wolf Blitzer promised that each candidate would have ample time to articulate their key points during the broadcast, much of the face time went to Sen. Hillary Clinton. When the camera wasnt on her, the questions were about her or the other candidates were talking about the former First Lady.
Following the Russert debacle in the last debate, the Clinton campaign went to work on Blitzer, turning Wolf into a lamb. No tough questions were posed to the woman who claims to be able to stand up to tyrants and terrorists. Worse yet, whenever one of the other candidates said anything critical of Mrs. Clinton, her cheering section loudly booed.
Along with last weeks planted question scandal, the Clinton machines strategy of media manipulation is becoming increasingly clear: intimidate journalists, manufacture news and silence dissent.
If the election was being held in 1968 and not 2008, I might be more concerned. Clintons Nixonian posture with regard to the media is based on a model that no longer exists. The reason there has been no Cronkite moment that secured Americas defeat in Iraq is that the New Media has allowed enough of the truth to seep through the liberal media blockade to neutralize the antiwar propaganda.

Interesting item. It was also curious how Wolf found the first two ‘regular folks asking questions’ who happened to be antiwar vets ....
“Along with last weeks planted question scandal, the Clinton machines strategy of media manipulation is becoming increasingly clear: intimidate journalists, manufacture news and silence dissent.”
Really.
Didn’t the Soros/MediaMatters Ministry of Information inform us that Jeff Gannon is an un-desirable with weird personal habits? Or am I confusing my journalists who dare parry the Hillary Dominant Paradigm?
I could only stomach a few minutes. If I hear her say Bush one more time I’ll scream!! When is hse going to learn she isn’t running against him?!!!! She had on SOOOOOO much pancake makeup it looked like that ugly face was going to crack!!! I loved when Wolf asked her about the illegal drivers license and she just said “no” and that was that! No followup no why did you change your mind AGAIN noting! What a scam! And when you watch Barack those ears are so distracting! Little Dennis was like a small child he was all revved up!
Hitlery is truly such a apt label.
Obama and Edwards ought to be thankful. They haven’t been found in Ft Marcy Park.
Both are lightweights, so there is no reason to do anything to them along those lines.
That was the only segment I caught of the whole debate....the look on hillarys face was priceless when she puckered up to just say no
LLS
I agree, this debate had so much Mrs Bill Clinton, the wife of the impeached ex president,Bill Cliton on camera, it was almost like a one person show..
When the Clinton’s “Healthcare Reform” express rolled into Independence Missouri in 1993 I showed up with a sign “Hillary Heal Thyself” hoping to get close to the stage I was informed that only local union members were allowed in. Refusing to be defeated myself and other protesters stood outside of the stage area and booed during the Clinton speeches. The Clinton’s finally answered “those protesters don’t want your children covered under our plan”. Alas too late to save their government takeover of healthcare. Folks this is what it’s going to take to be heard over the plants in their audience.
She carjacked Spitzer's effen Steamroller.
Run Hillaryous Run!
Not sure why her campaign would be happy with that.
Democrats no longer have debates......they are just stump speeches. Wolf just followed his instructions from the Clinton Machine. These people are so phony it’s almost laughable..... if it wasn’t for a Presidential election.
Media Matters went after Gannon like they did Coulter, Limbaugh and O’Reilly.
I watched most of the so-called debate....for starters, it was media event...certainly not a “town-hall” gathering, it was a production...after 30 minutes, I went for an evening walk...I passed by numerous homes, where I could see the TV set, none were watching the “event”...
Guess I answered my own question, haven't I.
INDEED THEY SHOULD.
or worse.
We’re entering some dangerous times.
