I see. :) I do hope one of the other candidates will grow a pair and bring this up and let Paul explain it that way to the American people. The candidates may be thinking exposing Paul may do more harm to the GOP than just keeping quiet and hoping he will go away. This is a miscalculation on their part in my opinion.
Then it is OK with you if I drive on the interstates since I have paid for them even if I think that the federal government should not have financed them?
Of course it is ok with me. Not sure I understand the question. I thought what was at issue here, was you posting to someone that because of the “Interstate Highways” they somehow didn’t believe in the Constitution? I made the point that the Federal Government is constitutionally authorized to provide for the national defense. The Interstate Highways were all about national defense and were considered by Eisenhower to be very important to our national defense.
Tell me what is unconstitutional about interstate highways? Because you don’t feel they were necessary or you didn’t want to pay for them? I think perhaps some think of the Constitution as some magical document held in a locked box of which only Ron Paul holds the key. I assure you, nothing could be farther from the truth. Eisenhower thought the Interstates were important to our national defense and I am not going to second guess him. I don’t have the gravitas nor the credibilty to second guess one of the great generals in American history. Neither does Ron Paul and I think he is quite the highway builder himself. We could argue if the sun was constitutional but since it is already there, any points would be moot and the debate, therefore, futile.
in 1984 Israeli PACs and associated wealthy businessmen helped bankroll Helms expensive reelection campaign against former governor Jim Hunt.. Part of the Israeli effort to ally with Evangelicals.
Interestingly the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, an anti-Israel publication reports
As a result, the Israel lobby invested perhaps one of the countrys biggest campaign contributions per capita in an attempt to unseat Jesse Helms. Pro-Israel political action committees poured an astonishing $222,342 into the campaign of Helms opponent, North Carolina Governor James Hunt. Hunts campaign secretary proclaimed that Senator Helms has the worst anti-Israel record in the United States Senate and supporters of Israel throughout the country know it.
Fair to say one of thems wrong, though to a certain brand of Israel critic it doesnt matter if donations went to Helms or Hunt, things can be spun either way.
Note my comment in post 104 where another anti-Israel source contends undefined Israeli PACs contributed not to Helms, but to his opponent. IMO there's little credibility to the charge.
Alternatively, block incoming traffic from the site. Given the fact that Paul has accepted a $500 contribution from Stormfront's founder, a felon, which he's declined to return, I doubt you'll see any action.
Paul Campaign Responds to LST, re: Nazi Gold ["Cannot Say" They Will Reject Neo-Nazi Cash Donation]
Agreed..
As Do I, but we don't live in an anarchy or a nihilistic society. My point concerning the sun is that it is there, just like the Interstates, that ship has sailed.
