Romney Accidentally Advertises On Gay.com

It's a tough call which accidental placement of Mitt Romney's online campaign ads, as reported by the New York Times, is funnier: The irony of the same-sex marriage-opposing former governor unintentionally urging readers of Gay.com to "Join Team Mitt!" is pretty strong.
But in the end we're going to have to go with the Mormon family man, desperate for Americans not to perceive his religion as some kind of weird cult, advertising on FanFiction.net. In case you're not familiar, that's where users can write their own plots about their favorite fictional characters or read the work of others "including pornographic scenes between Harry Potter and Hermione Granger."

Gays can vote. I have no problem with any candidate advertising for their votes. Not all gays support gay marriage, after all.

I’ll expect that maybe someone in his P.R. office made the decision to buy an ad on it without his knowledge so as to give him “plausible deniability.” But I doubt it was a “mistake.”

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but what is so funny about this? It's not like FanFiction.net is inherently pornographic. It allows its user to submit their own stories about their favorite characters. A lot of the stories are g-rated. The site just doesn't censor. It would be like making fun of someone for advertising on YouTube because there are some very inappropriate vids on there. Or are they making fun of him advertising on FanFiction.net because the mormons beliefs are considered strange by some? If that's the case, all I can say is, grow up.

During an election cycle, when Republican candidates are being slandered on blogs by competing candidates drones, I should believe a story written by CBS (liberal media) concerning a conservative candidate who BTW is pro-family? I think not.
Waste of time.

Accidentally?Hey, come on, now. Why the suspicion? Why, he just "accidently" received the endorsement from the Log Cabin Club of Massachusetts...uh, twice... 8 years apart.
To: felisberto
Romney does support gay rights. He always has, and still does. He doesn’t talk about it in the Republican primary of course. But he still endorses most of the gay rights platform.
