If “In God We Trust” is barred from the schools then we should respect that rule and cut off all funding for the school district and the teachers. Wouldn’t want to offend them by paying them with money that says “In God We Trust” on it, would we?

I see that "In God We Trust" was not banned from the Bakersfield schools, but is there any indication that it was the teachers who wanted it to be?

From the article, it looks like it was some trustees (is that what they call school board members in California?) who decided the banners were a bad idea. I don't see anywhere that it mentioned what the teachers thought, one way or another.

I don't know about California, but I've never lived anywhere that the teachers agreed with the school board all of the time.
