U.S. and Afghan doctors team up to treat Afghans in need of medical care in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. Army Dr. (Maj.) Lee J. Trombetta, general surgeon for the 555th Forward Surgical Team, met Dr. Akmal Pardis, director of Jalalabad Public Health Hospital on his first trip here. Together they have come up with a partnership program where local Afghan doctors would work side-by-side with the 555th FST. |

Yes. I thought this follow up story was most interesting:

Uzbeks, Arabs among 10 militants killed in missile strike in Waziristan
ISLAMABAD, Nov 2 (KUNA) — About two Uzbek and three Arab nationals were among ten militants killed in a missile strike on the house of a former Taliban commander in Pakistani tribal agency of North Waziristan along Afghan border, said officials.
A missile strike was launched by US drone aircraft from an unknown location on a suspected militants hideout in an area five kilometers from Miramshah, the agencys main headquarters, on Friday, security officials told KUNA.
Officials said that the strike completely destroyed the house of Jalaludin Haqani, former Afghan commander. They added that at least ten militants were killed and near twelve were wounded.
Officials said further that the dead militants included five locals, two Uzbeks and three Arab nationals. However, they added, no high-profile wanted figure was killed in the strike.
Military spokesman Waheed Arshad when contacted expressed ignorance with the incident.
The strike came as the US Central Command chief Admiral William Fallon is visiting Pakistan to discuss security and terrorism related issues. (end) amn.bz.

From this we know there were Arabs, ie al Qaeda, it was the house of a former Taliban leader, and native Paki’s as well involved.
Thanks for your input, great work!
