- What place/places in Sweden did you go to and when?
There are lots of nice women more or less everywhere on earth and I for one admit there are many Swedish women who are not especially attractive, but Swedish women is one of the things I, personally, always enjoy about coming home after being abroad for a while. It’s like the superior standard of living, the quality consciousness, the honesty and the decency of people, the lack of corruption, the clean air and Swedish wildlife.
Then, sooner or later, you are confronted with the stupidity of PC Swedish politicians and immediately you start planning your next vacation abroad.
You hated saying it so much you said it twice.
:-)
And sure as heck, there hasn't been a sexier cartoon character.
That being said, I never was particularly turned on by women from the northern countries anyway. More women for you! :-)
“More women for you! :-)”
- Disagreeing with you is easy, fellow FReeper!
Thank you, Tsar Peter, for removing Sweden from the list of serious powers in the world at Poltava.
I have dated quite a few Swedish women years ago, offhand they do get a bit upset about their good looks compared to other woman as at least the ones I knew were very good looking. But the ones I knew were also aloof and seemed like they always were looking for something better, so I married a French-German gal that after 14 years I still can’t get rid of!
My wife is Swedish and French, blonde with green eyes.
Local funeral homes only allow me to take her to womens’
funerals: if the corpse is a guy, well, he pops a boner.
I think I would have split his fricatives for him and stuffed them up his sibilants.
I guess that would be a problem when they went to close the casket ;)
- Tsar Peter was one of the best Tsars Russia ever saw (from a true patriotic point of view), but do you think Russia ever gained anything from declaring wars on Sweden?
OK, Sweden was very aggressive in the Baltic Sea area to begin with (especially during the 15-17th centuries) and it is only natural that the Russians feared them as the competitors they were, but Russia made the stupid decision of trying to completely wipe out Sweden as a major force in the Scandinavian Sphere instead of trying to make friends. Therefore, Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia today is prosperous and Russia a land weakened by inner strife and backwardness.
However, Russians are not stupid. If they set their minds to it, they could well become the leading European power someday. Personally, I hope Russia will become part of the EU as well as a prime ally of the US, like the rest of Europe should strive to remain.
There is no need for diffrent segments of the Western World to behave like little children in the situation we, as a civilization, experience today.
We have a real enemy to deal with.
- I’ve heard there are only three ways to completely get rid off a woman once you marry her:
* A marriage settlement and an expensive lawyer
* Various solutions beyond the law
* Embracing the life of an antisocial, impoverished drug addict
Luckily enough, being married isn’t always as bad as it sometimes is portrayed to be.
- I recall Ann-Margrock from childhood cartoon experiences, but I’ve never heard of Ann-Margret, although I’m Swedish.
Did some Wikipedia research and found out she still was a very attractive lady at the age of 47;

See post above.
“Look at Dennis Rodman ~ ugliest guy I ever seen. He keeps a harem of women.”
I believe he has had one steady girl, perhaps married, for several years. Blond.
He seems to stay private these days. Perhaps he is beyond the stardom phase of his life.
But what I want to know is who was the better looking ABBA singer, Frida or Agnetha?
I’m partial to Frida, since I prefer brunettes. But Agnetha had a nice caboose.
Yeah. That makes it hard to close the casket...
Paraphrasing Aragorn from Lord of the Rings:
"To raise a dead man...that is a rare talent!"
I couldn't resist: what about your painful groin boil?
...and a pic of the wife?
Cheers!

- I’d say I’m partial to Frida too. But being born in 1969, I never thought of any of them as ‘attractive’ when they were at the height of their fame.
I’m not being unpatriotic. From my point of view, there are few really attractive celebrities.
However, back in the late eighties and early nineties I was one of many Swedish guys who found a certain Swedish singer by the name of Lena Philipsson attractive.
Today, all I, initially, experience while watching this antique video is one of the most incomprehensible hairdos of the entire 20th century, but somewhere underneath it all, I also detect an attractive, young brunette although she’s wearing a ridiculous outfit she, actually, made herself (no joke). ‘Lena Ph’ has always been ridiculous and still is, but in a sympathetic, rural Sweden kind of way:

Speaking of antique and attractive brunettes, here’s a video featuring a Swedish duo called ‘Antique’ and especially what I deem to be a very attractive brunette from my home city, her name is Elena Paparizou (born in Sweden from Greek parents):
