This is a live thread for the Louisiana elections today...
Correction that should read “Thread!”
It's a Louisiana election...:-)
WHo is running? What seats? Primary or general? Who do you want to win?
I'm assuming this guy.
O.K. I want him to win, too. Elections on a Saturday in October seem odd to me, thus the questions. I should try to keep up.
Wait...this is for govenor.
Jindal
Lt Gov. going for Beard.
Sec State Dardenne
Att Gen Alexander
And there's other smaller races going on.
Not to pick on you, but this thread is not self-explanatory all around the planet. In addition, I assume that even in Louisiana they aren’t yet counting the votes, so there will not be anything to talk about for another 8 to 10 hours or so, right?
Given historically the way they count votes in La. they could well have started the morning of the day of the vote.
These folks are professional thieves.
If I may ask, why Beard and not Kershaw?
The Dems down there have been running some of the most dishonest, outrageous ads I have ever seen in an election. They ran an ad which literally accused Jindal of throwing someone’s brother out of a nursing home and into the street.
Perhaps we will discuss what the turnout in our local areas is like, etc., the mood at the polls ... this is a very possibly a big day for change in Louisiana politics. I was not aware that it was necessary for any thread to be 'self-explanatory around the planet'. Not to pick on you or anything.
I actually have some hope of Jindal winning without the necessity of a run-off. He is running very strong here in NELA, which was a problem area for him in 2003. I am judging that by the number of Jindal signs on private property and the conversations I’ve had with a variety of folks.
This thread is a vanity, and subject to being pulled, or put in chat. It looks like it is staying on the news side, due to the knowledgeable moderators on FR, not to the inadequate documentation. For all anyone could tell this is about an election in Pago-pago (where there is a FReweper, by the way).
Oops, I see that Louisina is mentioned, sorry about that.
Who do you want to win?,,,,Auburn
What part of 'Louisiana election' are you not understanding? ;-)
Sorry, I didn’t see that you finally saw Louisiana. My bad.
One thing is for sure ... the Tigers are going to win! That is always the statement of the day in our home where I am an Auburn gal married to an LSU man.
WAR EAGLE!!
