Matt’s going to Greenland to prove GW is real (no, he doesn’t see the irony in Greenland’s name, evidently), Ann is going to the South Pole, where evidently a large chunk of Antartica, the size of Rhode Island has broken off (bwhahahaha), and Roker will be at the equator, eating something, I’m sure. What a perfect storm of IRONY is building. Where in the world is Algore? It’s just not a true IRONY party if he’s not part of it!
In Viking days, they didn't do irony. They named it Greenland because back then, it was actually green, and they could colonize and farm the fertile edges of the island. Later on, the climate changed and the Vikings were frozen off their land.
Today, the glaciers are retreating again. As they melt, the stone villages the Vikings built are emerging from the ice once more.
