Live and learn. The Matron of Honor’s husband took our pictures with his 35mm camera. We paid for the roll of film and the developing. Total cost: About $50.

We had a number of people take pictures with their own high quality cameras. We also distributed disposable cameras to people who attended the wedding. He had more pictures than can be imagined... some quite as nice as those taken by the supposed pros.

Well done.

I can't complain: one of our best friends was a professional photographer, so we got the whole package for free as a wedding gift. And though his pictures were very, very good, I'll tell you---some of the pictures taken by "civilians" and sent to us were just as good.

“with his 35mm camera.”

That’s so, last millennium.
