I'm here for the free lessons. And popcorn.
Things could get started at the drop of a hat.
Look, if anyone ever deserved a necktie party, that would be Saddam, his two evil thug sons, and Chemical Ali.
Unfortunately, Ali’s crimes are so horrific there can never be “justice” for them. You would have to execute and revive him at least 180,000 times.
But I guarantee you there will be celebration among the relatives of his legions of victims at the news.
OMG. That’s a picture of Chemical Ali? I swear that guy dressed up as Saddam Hussein. I remember the video. People were all around him and I was like, “THAT’s NOT SADDAM! That’s an impostor...” This was back when Saddam was in hiding.
It was THAT guy!!
Whatever happened to “Comical Ali”?
I thought they were executing Comical Ali, aka Baghdad Bob. He was priceless. He should be saved just for comic relief.
He is getting off way too easy.
Well, it is now 7:30am in Baghdad, so I repeat your question: What’s the hold up?
“with Saddam. As much as he deserved the death penalty the way it was conducted was a travesty.”
Saddam’s crimes should have earned the hanging decorum that was had by Mussolini.
Boo-ya-ka-sha!
No, but sewiously...
Respec’!
well this means he’s never going to get a nobel peace prize!
“swing, swing, swing” ping.

Baghdad Bob reportedly admitted, during the five-hour interview, that “Saddam believed that he will lose the war if it erupts,” that Iraq did indeed seek nuclear weapons, and that King Hussein of Jordan sponsored secret talks between Iraq and the U.S. in a European capital long before the war. ——————Baghdad Bob Speaks: Saddam Sought Nukes

1999 : (ACCORDING TO A LATER BOOK BY WILSON, IN 1999 IRAQI FOREGN MINISTRY OFFICIAL MOHAMMED SAEED AL SAHHAF aka BAGHDAD BOB LATER INFORMATION MINISTER “COMICAL ALI” APPROACHED AN NIGERIEN OFFICIAL TO TALK ABOUT ‘EXPANDING TRADE’)... In 1999, Saddam’s information minister, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf approached an official of Niger to talk about expanding trade, an approach the official interpreted as a possible attempt to buy uranium. The author of the book? None other than Joseph Wilson — the man who accused the Bush administration last year of making up an Iraqi interest in uranium from Africa. Now, it seems, he comes close to confirming that interest. Yet except for a single story in The Washington Post, the media have had virtually nothing to say about Wilson’s new account. To be sure, none of this proves that Saddam’s agents sought uranium for use in nuclear weapons. What it proves is that reasonable people had good reason to believe that that’s what Saddam’s agents were doing. — “New look at Bush’s `16 words’,” by Jeff Jacoby, Boston Globe Columnist, Boston Globe, July 11, 2004
Apparently Saddam was executed just before sunrise so that they wouldn’t cut into the holiday which officially began at sunrise. That’s probably what you’re thinking of.
Adios !!
May you rot in he77 !!
I’m having cake.
