After a year and a few months, 120 Fort Drum soldiers are set to return from their mission in Iraq. Action News will keep you posted as the troops arrive and reunite with family and friends.
FORT DRUM, N.Y. (AP) - It's welcome-home time at Fort Drum. More than 120 Soldiers from the Tenth Mountain Division's Second Brigade Combat Team make their long- awaited return tomorrow when the unit's advance party lands at Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield. The returning soldiers will be re-united with their families at a ceremony at Magrath Gym at 3 pm. The troops have been in Iraq since August of last year.

On the same day headlines are about AQI being beaten like red headed step children. Hat tip warriors. Looking forward to buying you a beer when I get a chance.

I believe that the 10th Mountain Division is the outfit of Senator Robert Dole who sustained innumerable life-threatening injuries.
Now, THERE, is a role model patriot!!

Any info on what specific units from the 2nd BCT/10th Mountain will be in this first wave that’s coming home? My tagline will explain why I’m asking.

Thanks for the ping Albion. I’m interested in knowing which elements of the 2nd BCT will be in this first wave of troops coming home. As far as I know my son is not among them.
