This is big lie theory at work.

Reid is just repeating a lie so that at some point, with enough repetition, it will be truth.

Eventually only leftist deviants will be “christian” by the media.

Tell that to the politicos within the LDS faith. Ask Mitt why he is doing the quorum two-step, and showing us his inability to practice what he preaches.

Why do I live in Salt Lake city? Why was I ever a member of the Mormon faith (convert - we all make our mistakes) to begin with?

Now do you understand why I say the things I say.

I now know what it is like to be around peoiple who think they are better than anybody else, or that they set a double standard, because they were taught to do do from the age of eight on.

Good example J. S.

There are a few gaps in the reasoning of how Harry Reid got to this conclusion. One of them might be, that Harry, as a jack-Mormon himself, may take the criticism by some of the “evangelicals”, that the LDS is a cult, not a church, just a little more to heart than we may imagine.

Therefore, in a classic response to what he may think of as “projection”, he immediately accuses his opponents of almost precisely the same lapse. By this logic, such as it is, those who consider themselves to be “super-Christians”, are in fact, not Christian at all, and therefore, no better than what the evangelicals have been saying about the Mormons already.

““Evangelicals are “anti-Christian”
And this Mormon is an expert on evangelicals.
What a moron.”

I think Reid is a disgrace.
However, Evangelicals have been calling Mormons non-Christian repeatedly, for years. The charge is leveled almost daily against Romney. Now the accusation is reflected back and some Evangelicals blow a cork. Perhaps this will lead some Evangelicals to show a little more tolerance and sensitivity.

OK, you’re right, the chart posted earlier shows that his district is anything but majority Mormon.

I guess that makes him a Jack-Mormon.

What an uninformed statement to make, or it may be plain stupidity at work on your part.

Harry reid; Nancy Peloci are Anti-Christian!

Harry Reid isn’t even a traditional Christian, he proclaims to be a ‘mormon’, I wonder how many from his church would distance themselves from him, seeing how he acts!!

This guy is nuts, and has absolutely no credibility on the issue!

Ignoring that which spews from the mouth of Harry Reid is a simple task.

Reid was quoted as saying, “They are the most anti-Christian people I can imagine..."

your moral equivalency notwithstanding, Reid's statement is bigoted. This isn't about sensitivity and tolerance.

This whole secenario (which I am beginning to believe from design) is that true spirit-filled, born-again, theologically sound Christians, have been divided in America (politically) and socially for a loong time!

I am beinging to believe it has been by design because those who are against us know that if Christians (true) were truely unified, they would be an unstoppable force in today’s America.

That’s one reason why I hope for ‘realignment’ politically..

The two Harry’s (Blackmun and Reid) have killed more people than Hitler.

Your Right Grig, Harry Reed's ideas are way out of the mainstream of Mormon thinking. He in no way speaks for Mormons. He has no position within the LDS church to speak on doctrine for the Church. He speaks as a liberal Democrat only. Any chance liberals will be unpleased with his comments, and want him removed from his position as Senate Majority Leader? I wouldn't advise anyone hold their breath on that one.
