James' defense team begins preparing for infidelity issue (Dem sold city land cheap to bimbo)

The defense team of former Newark Mayor Sharpe James is bracing for testimony about marital infidelity to become part of his high-profile corruption case, according to court papers. Confronting an issue that was only hinted at in a federal indictment this summer, James' lawyers are attempting to filter out potential jurors who may be prejudiced by evidence of philandering on his part.

James is married; his wife has a $100,000 position on a government board. Plus perks.

BACKSTORY James' women were identified earlier by the Newark Star-Ledger as:

* Anthonyette Hunter, an attractive 38-year-old whom James placed on the city Planning Board and who allegedly jetted to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Daytona Beach, Fla., with hizzoner.

* Jacqueline Shanks, a 44-year-old who was fired as his aide after partying with the pol in Martha's Vineyard and Miami.

* Veronic Awkard, a Maryland lawyer who allegedly flew down to enjoy a fiesta with James in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

* Diana Jarrell, 29, whom James was so taken with after just glancing at her in a hallway that he got her a job on the city Alcohol Board.

* Sedequa Scott, a 30-year-old Newark woman who worked on one of his campaigns.

* Two other women - one lives in Trenton; works for a phone company,

* One works for the Essex County government - have not been identified publicly.

Hmmmmm.......all that pulchritude and an aging Mayor----musta been mega-dosing on Viagra.

The worst part of this is A) ole Sar-pay would get reelected to something after he was convicted ( A brother’s got to have a job!) and B) the New Jersey media knew all about this and every other crooked rat trick and never wrote a word about it. The Jersey media stands on the sideline shaking its head and clucking its tongue at the “terrible politicians” - never mentioning their party of course. Battered Voter Syndrome is alive and well in New Jersey. The voters and the media know all about crooked bobby menendez but they will keep supporting him anyway.
