If you need to control your cholesterol
take Red Yeast Rice a naturally occurring statin
which does not deplete your CoQ-10

If you want to die.....take statins. If you want to ruin your liver for no extra benefit in reducing heart disease while fattening up Pfizer's bottom line, take statins.

I take Natto-K by Enzymedica. It is the enzyme Nattokinase which is better than Lipitor or any other statin. I also take other enzymes (by Enzymedica) which help flush the cholesterol out of my system. The statins help block the absorption of natural fats that your body needs. People on the statins wind up being malnourished.
Prescription meds wound up destroying my father's liver. He died last year as a result. The doctors told us that his cirrhosis was worse than the cases they had seen from any alcoholic. My father never drank.
I won't ever take statin drugs because of this.

Yeah, it seems to me that the success of Lipitor is more of a testament to mass marketing of a prescription medication than it is to a miracle cholesterol lowering medication. It can help, but it can’t cure. And it has its risks.
And Viva Viagra, while we’re at it.

Or if you want to suffer muscle pain or even paralysis. I know a man in a wheelchair thanks to statins.
