I heard just a couple of weeks ago from a Doctor on TV, that the Statin was taken out of Red Yeast Rice because it is a substance controlled by the FDA. He said there may only be one or two brands that still have the statin in it, and to be sure that you have that brand. He was concerned that people would take the Red Yeast Rice instead of Lipitor and not really do anything since the statin was removed.

The Doctor was either ignorant or repeating lies
from the pharmaceutical industry to scare people.

The industry has tried to get the FDA to ban red rice yeast for years.

It manages cholesterol better than the pharmaceuticals
without any downside risk.

A good source is Nutrition Express
