If you call being in boot camp “service” but getting kicked out after 40 days or so, yes Macbeth “served”. I do not think it is an inaccuracy to say that Macbeth never actually served his country.

He DID NOT serve. He was thrown out due to his misbehavior. He was "let go" for the good of the corp and to say that he "served" is a disservice to every VETERAN, (myself included).

His disservice continued after his stint at Basic Training when he began to LIE about his nonexistant activities in Iraq.

Actually it may be technically correct.

Boot Camp (USMC) is three months or approx 90 days. You are not considered a Marine nor are you called a Marine until graduation day.

Not sure about the Army.
