'200 suicide bombers await the Merkava'
By JPOST.COM STAFF
200 female suicide bombers are awaiting the Merkava tanks, Hamas senior Dr. Nizar Rian told the Kuweiti Al Jareeda Friday.
Hamas says Israel will pay a heavy price Rian also said his organization had more than 50,000 armed fighters, who were endowed with "courage and are able to fight in the relevant territory."
Reportedly, Rian was appointed commander of Hamas's military units whose mission is to beat back an expected Israeli ground incursion into the Gaza Strip.
"They sleep and walk about armed with explosives, ready to attack Israeli tanks and to prevent them from progressing," Rian said. Women, he added, were not a new addition to the terrorist group's arsenal. Women were sent in the past to hit the "heart of the Israeli occupier's home" and while some Palestinians were against the use of women in combat roles, "the duty to guard the motherland is more important than any other priority."
Rian was also subtly critical of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's condemnation of incessant Kassam rocket fire on Israeli towns.
"One cannot say that our simple rockets, which constitute a proper arsenal of weaponry in the world of warfare, are, as some politicians who take Jihad likely say, fireworks. Where are our weapons compared to the Zionist's sophisticated weapons? But where are the cowardly Zionists when compared to our brave warriors?" he asked rhetorically in the interview.

Wow, so in Islam the women ARE good for something, huh?
To: sukhoi-30mki
Ya know, thats a good reason for rolling bombardments. Or to machinegun anybody who approaches you in the combat area.

The word "Muslims" and "courage" do not belong in the same sentence.

Running over somebody wearing a bomb belt might not be a good idea, though it would make great footage for the enemy media (which is just about all of ‘em...).

Replace courage with suicidal tendencies-the 2 are used interchangeably anyway.
To: Little Ray
Urban, combined arms tactics will be practiced and rehearsed before action starts. There will be coverage for armor from infantry and artillery. Movement thru “hot spots” may include friendly VT coverage to suppress such threats if they are real. If ATGMs are the real threat there will be lots of smoke. Tactics are tactics and the Israelis will not be caught as unprepared as they were in the summer of ‘06.

Depends on how powerful the bomb belt is. I doubt it would have enough explosive force or projectiles to penetrate a tank. This needs some further research

i wonder what good suicide bombers are against rolling artillery bombardment or airborne bomb and missiles.
maybe they will blow themselves up 2 seconds before the 500 pounder vaporizes them. on top of that a low yield tactical nuke makes quick work of half a square mile area.
I would think about it real hard if I were in gaza.
Israeli may not be able to use it, but neither will the pals.

People often are blinded by their loyalties to some political party, country, person, class/group, religion or family. However, if you value life, if you value the basic concepts of freedom and democracy, if you subscribe to the equality of men and some form of “rule of law,” it is very clear who the bad and good guys are in this feud. The rest is all fuzzy logic and polemics.

Suppose they are underneath the tank though or crushed under the treads, though. Suppose that the Israeli tank driver gets a hangnail on his big toe. I’m worried about Israeli foot care. :(

“Hamas says Israel will pay a heavy price Rian also said his organization had more than 50,000 armed FIGHTERS.”
Oh, I’m sorry. You see, in the Western world, the word “fighter” implies that you actually do battle. Against soldiers. In the jihadi world, apparently, they’re too damn craven to fight against people who can fight back, so they routinely take on their own women and children.
Honestly, am I the only person not impressed by the constant blustering from the Middle East? If they had a tenth of what they think and say they do, they’d be significant for something other than their oil supplies.
To: sukhoi-30mki
Those muzzie chicks must be built like pack animals.
I can’t imagine how much raw explosive one would have to carry to breach the armor on a modern main battle tank.
A shaped charge or an EFP is one thing, but blocks of c-4 or the warsaw pact equivalent? Oh mohammed, my aching back....
